Setting of Regional Research Priorities in the field of Transport

Within Work Package 2 (Priority setting to structure participation in FP), the consultation session in the field of Transport was held in Sarajevo/Bosnia-Herzegovina on May 19 and 20, 2009.  

It was the fourth consultation session in a series of five dedicated to different research fields (ICT, AgroFood, Health, Transport and Environment). National delegations from the Western Balkan countries composed of different stakeholders from the region discussed and defined areas of common interest in the field of Transport providing the basis for future common activities. Scientists, policy makers, NCPs, experts, consultants and representatives froms SMEs were present. Information on current activities within the FP7 Transport Theme and the Work Programme were given by an EC representative from the Transport Directorate of DG Research. Furthermore, invited external experts informed about existing initiatives and networks in this field.

The event was hosted by the Bosnian partners of WBC-INCO.NET, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina and SUS BIH. Project partners involved in the priority setting process took also part in the event.
