EU Expected to Lift Visa Requirements for BiH this Year

As Slovenian Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar announced on Monday (July 26), after a meeting of EU counterparts in Brussels, the EU has agreed to scrap visa requirements for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) citizens by the end of the year 2010.

He specified that the European Commission will propose lifting the visa regime for BiH on September 2nd. If the motion is approved by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, visa liberalisation could take effect on December 19.
