Dr. Eng. Arjan Xhelaj is Director of Academic and Scientific Network of Albania at the Albanian Ministry of Education and Science. He studied physical engineering in the University of Siegen, Germany and finished his PhD in Biophysics and Medical physics in the University of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He has worked as researcher, lecturer at Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main and as Consultant in several enterprises in Germany. He has been working in the Ministry of Education an Science as Director of Higher Education and Scientific research since his return to Albania in 2009. He is also NCP for JRC and involved in the SEE-ERA.NET PLUS project. He is national coordinator of the Bologna Follow up Group in Higher Education and represents Albania at the RCC.
